What happens if I don't raise the money???

Hey Blog Buddies, I'm blogging from the Mac Store on Boylston St. in Boston right now, on the new 13" MacBook Pro, pretty awesome if I do says so myself. Anyway, a lot of people have been asking me, "What happens to the money I donate if you don't collect enough to go to the Domincan Republic?" Well before I answer that, let me tell you what I'm doing to prevent that.

I'm applying to many scholarships, and best case scenario I will receive between $5000 and $6000. I'm planning a fundraiser now in Boston and hopefully I'll make a few hundred dollars from that. I'm applying for Federal grants (hopefully they'll deem me worthy of some money); I have some money in my bank account that I am planning on putting toward the program, and of course there's you, and all of your generous donations through the blog.

Next semester, I'm doing my study abroad in France, and unfortunately on a student visa I'm not allowed to work, not even volunteer, but if I could get a job while in France I totally would.

Now, on the off chance I do not raise the money. I will send you an email asking if you want your money returned, or if you want to donate it to the scholarship, and a kiva account. But, let's focus on the positives, and try our best to prevent that from happening :)

I hope this answered any questions or concerns you may have had, if it didn't feel free to comment, or shoot me an email.

  1. Hi how are you?

I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.

I too have a blog that I use out of Southern California here in San Diego.

Mostly it is a collection of artistic expression, and I have many friends with the same interests, maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.

Well I hope to hear from you soon, and or read about you….LOL

    Sincerely,
    Jesse
